Wearing a Dress for the First Time
On Sunday, as we were trying to get her dressed for going to the dog park, Dada declared, for the first time in our memory, that she wanted to wear a dress. So we went to her closet where a number of darling but to date completely neglected dresses hung. We chose the one pictured and it fit her perfectly. We rushed outside to take a picture before the moment passed.
She has worn skirts on occasion but this is the first time that she's worn a dress--we've certainly been unable to get her into one on the usual occasions when one might wear a dress. So it was quite a surprise when she asked to wear one. We have no idea what motivated this sudden change of sartorial practice.
In any case, as Dada says: "it berry cute".

Hate to nitpick, honey, but she's worn a dress before. Just not in the last, oh, six months or so, when she wore a dress out to dinner for no apparent reason. Maybe you were out of town.
And she only started rejecting dresses around last Christmas, so she'd worn them before then, too; I think it was the utterly adorable outfit that Boo and I had picked out for her to wear at Christmas dinner that made her decide to reject dresses out of hand.
I'd also like to underline the fact that she wanted to wear a dress to the dogpark, a place more suited to visiting wearing coveralls and paper shoe covers than a dress.
